Privacy Policy

NutriVibe ("we", "us", "the app") is an iOS application for nutrition, fasting and hydration tracking. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

1. Who we are

NutriVibe is developed by an independent developer based in Bulgaria, EU. For any privacy question, contact: hristoslavov.ivanov@gmail.com.

3. How we use your data

Provide the service: store your nutrition logs, calculate your goals, sync between your devices.
Improve the app: aggregated, non-personal analytics on which features are used.
Authenticate you: log you into your account securely.
Process payments: validate your subscription via Apple StoreKit.
Show rewarded ads: if you have a free or Basic plan, you can watch a short video to earn an extra AI scan. Ads are served by Google AdMob.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your nutrition logs or food photos for advertising.

4. Third-party services

NutriVibe relies on the following processors. Each handles your data under its own privacy policy:

Apple — Sign in with Apple, StoreKit, App Analytics, HealthKit. apple.com/legal/privacy
Supabase — authentication and database hosting. supabase.com/privacy
Anthropic — AI food recognition (Claude API). Photos sent for scanning are not used to train models. anthropic.com/legal/privacy
Google AdMob — rewarded video ads. policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Open Food Facts — public food database used for barcode lookups. No personal data is sent. openfoodfacts.org/terms-of-use
Spoonacular — recipe and food data API. No personal data is sent. spoonacular.com/food-api/terms-of-use

5. Advertising and tracking

NutriVibe shows only rewarded video ads — you opt in by tapping "Watch a video to earn a scan". We do not show banner, interstitial or in-feed ads.

The first time you launch the app, iOS will ask whether you allow tracking (App Tracking Transparency). If you allow it, AdMob may use your Advertising Identifier (IDFA) to show more relevant ads. If you decline, ads still work but are non-personalized. You can change this anytime in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

6. HealthKit

If you grant access, NutriVibe reads and writes hydration data to Apple Health. HealthKit data never leaves your device through us — it is not sent to Supabase or any other server.

7. Data retention

Data on your device persists until you delete the app or sign out.
Data in Supabase persists until you delete your account.
Food photos sent to the AI scanner are processed in-memory and not retained by us.

8. Your rights

Under GDPR (EU) and similar laws, you may:

Access your data — export from Profile → Settings → Export Data.
Correct your data — edit anything from inside the app.
Delete your data — Profile → Settings → Delete Account wipes both device and cloud data within 30 days.
Object to processing, withdraw consent, or lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (in Bulgaria: CPDP).

9. Children

NutriVibe is not intended for users under 13 (under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has used NutriVibe, contact us and we will delete the data.

10. International transfers

Supabase data is hosted in the EU. Apple, Anthropic and Google may transfer data outside the EU under Standard Contractual Clauses.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app changes. Material changes will be announced in-app. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
